In 2024, Mercari tried 0% selling fees. As of Jan 2025, the flat 10% Selling Fee has returned.
1. Returns for Any Reason
Mercari now allows returns simply because the buyer changed their mind. This makes selling clothing risky due to fit issues.
Strategy: Stick to low-risk items on Mercari (Video Games, Sealed Toys, Hard Goods). Avoid fitted clothing.
